Jenna Elliott

Marketing and Communications & Logistics

Jenna Elliott is a second-year undergraduate student, pursuing studies in Psychology with certificates in Creative Writing, Entrepreneurship, and Neuroscience. Believing deeply in the importance of creative expression, she serves on the Performing Arts Council at Princeton University as Initiatives Director, is a dancer and choreographer for the university’s oldest student-run dance company, and volunteers as a coach for the Trenton Youth Arts Program. She is a lifelong resident of Worcester County who cares deeply about her community and seeks to support and empower those within it in every way that she is able.

Waverly "Sage" Rumery

Art & Logistics

Waverly Sage Rumery, known as just “Sage”, is an undergraduate student at Clark University here in Worcester. They are majoring in both Psychology and Studio Arts, with interests in entrepreneurship, teaching, and philosophy. They are non-binary and queer, as well as neuro-divergent. Very human-focused, Sage values the unique lives and experience of every person. This is reflected in their work, as they like to portray emotion and tell stories (their own and others’) with their art.

Mary Ellen Tisdell

Art & Marketing/Communications

Mary Ellen Tisdell is a Worcester native with a knack for the intersection of social progression and art. She is currently studying Sociology and Theatre at The University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and holds a Liberal Arts degree from Quinsigamond Community College. As a Main Street kiddo at heart, empowerment of the community is something that Mary holds dear to her heart, and is thrilled to bring her skills as a writer, artist, and performer to an organization that she believes will impact the city for years to come. “Power to The People!”

Malia Montalvo

Art

Malia Montalvo, born and raised in Worcester, is a rising college freshman dedicated to getting involved in the community through various outlets. Starting off in the WCAC program Youth Works, Malia helped found the youth-led charity group “Safe Haven.” Since then, she’s engaged in community work through the Worcester Youth Council, Recreation Worcester, and now, The Platform. With a passion for creativity, artistry, and civic engagement, she hopes to both leave her mark on her hometown and better it for the generations to come.

Brett Iarrobino

Art Team Lead

Brett Iarrobino (they/them) holds a BA in English and Theatre Arts from Clark University, an MA in Teaching from Clark’s Hiatt Center for Urban Teaching and School Practice, and an initial license for teaching secondary English Language Arts and Drama with a Sheltered English Immersion endorsement from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. They are thrilled to be a leader and learner in the 2022 Create 508 cohort and enjoy providing emerging artists with a formative cultural development experience in the city they call home. During the academic year, Brett teaches at Worcester’s University Park Campus School as a member of the English Department, facilitating courses on introductory English Language Arts, film-as-text, creative writing, visual theory, and graphic literature. They are also involved in numerous local city arts organizations, including the Worcester County Poetry Association, the Jean McDonough Arts Center, and the No Evil Project, and sit on the Board of Directors for national education nonprofits Sigma Tau Delta and Learning Unlimited.
