About the event
Process:
Complete this online sign-up to express interest in being a performer at Color the City. A member of The Platform team will follow up with you via email to talk through the process and awnser any additional questions. Your prefromance time will be confirmed then, if you remain interested, and the sign-up donation (of $15) will be discussed!
Price:
We ask that performers make a $15 donation to reserve their spot in the festival. This money will support the mission of the Color the City festival for years to come.
Fee waiver:
If the $15 donation is a finaicial hardship or a barrier to entry in anyway, please reach out to The Platform team. Waivers and partial "scholarships" are avaible to help offset the cost. We want you and your work at our festival and will greatfully work with you to make this happen!
More details:
- Performers can start arriving at 3 pm on the day of the event to prepare
- Sound check will be from 4-5pm on day of the event
- We ask all performers arrive at least 1 hour early
Schedule:
12 pm - 4 pm → Decorate & set up (decorations, stage, vendors, artists, field games)
Opportunity to ask any last minute questions, you may have about the vending process
4 pm - 5 pm → Prepare performers (sound and light set-up) & food trucks arrive
5 pm - 9 pm → COLOR THE CITY <3
9 pm - 10:30 pm → Breakdown and clean up (with help from artists, performers, and volunteers)
